How to reach Recipes and Things about a recipe that did not work, a correction, a claim you want checked, or a business question.
By Wes Hadley ·
The best way to reach me is email: contact@recipesandthings.com. That is the one channel. There is no contact form and no comment section, and I read every message myself.
A recipe that did not work
I want to hear about these. The more detail you send, the better the chance I can work out what happened. It helps to include:
- Which recipe, and which step went wrong.
- What pan you used: size, and whether it was cast iron, stainless, nonstick or something else.
- Your oven or stove: gas or electric, and whether it tends to run hot or cool.
- Any substitutions, even small ones, and whether you scaled the recipe up.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, from a wrong measurement to a bad link, email me. Fixes are noted on the page and listed in the corrections log.
A claim you want checked
If you have seen a claim about food and blood flow and want to know whether it holds up, send it along with where you saw it. The section that handles these, and how the evidence is labeled, is explained in Food and blood flow. I cannot promise to cover every claim, but I read them all.
Business and advertising
For business questions, use the same email address. Paid pages on this site are always labeled Advertisement, and editorial pages are not for sale. How the site earns money is explained on the about page.
When to expect a reply
This is a one-person site, so a reply usually takes a few days. If it has been longer than a week, feel free to send a short reminder.
